What Do We Mean When the Listing Says May Need Cleaning?
On some of our pre-owned and vintage items you may see a notation that says it may need cleaning. Rest assured, we’re not going to ship anything really icky. What we mean is, expect the kind of cleaning you would have to do if it came out of a display cabinet and hasn’t been dusted for a while or at worst it’s been sitting way back in a cupboard or in a box in grandma’s garage for a number of years. Usually these items have been in storage or on display for a while, they may be dusty and will need some soap and water to get it really clean. If it’s glass it may have that dusty film that sometimes gets on glass in storage. Perhaps the previous owner’s eyesight was not the best when washing up and missed a few spots. We buy and list 100s of items a month and it would take many hrs/wk to clean it all, as well as many, many gallons of water. Southern California has new water restrictions so it is not possible for us to thoroughly wash all the items we obtain each month and be responsible citizens at the same time. How Do You Ship? Can I Get Expedited Shipping?
For small parcels less than 2 pounds we usually ship US Priority Mail. For anything over 2 pounds we usually ship UPS ground. They guarantee delivery in one to five business days, depending on your location. We are located in San Diego, California, so delivery time will vary depending on what coast you are on. We can ship an item Next Day, 2nd Day or Express, but the shipping will of course be higher, usually significantly so. Please contact us before you purchase so we can give you a quote based on the speed you need.

Do You Offer Shipping Insurance?
In general, if an item is valuable or fragile we will ship UPS. UPS includes insurance in their rates for values us to $100. If the value of items in a box exceeds $100 we will pay the extra insurance, at no cost to you.
We do not insure Priority Mall or Media Mail, but we will cover any product loss or damage if it ever occurs.
We package very well - that's really the best insurance.

Do You Have a Newsletter or Mailing List I Can Subscribe to?
We are working on that and should have a regular newsletter coming soon. It will include discounts and sale announcements for our loyal subscribers. If you are interested, please click on “contact” and put “newsletter" in the subject line of your email. That’s all we’ll need. We hate Spam. Your email will never, ever be used for anything but sale notices, and only by us. If you should ever decide to opt out in the future, it will be just as easy - just send us an email.
